800 MHz spectrum (NANUC)

800 MHz spectrum from NANUC
Below is a comparison of a pentasaccharide (Dr. Bundle's group) recorded by NANUC's 800 MHz spectrometer (exp: 1, top) and on our own 600 MHz system (exp: 2, bottom). What is not easily seen is the much higher signal to noise at 800 MHz due to the approximately 1.8 times higher sensitivity. The spectra are shown at the same Hz/mm ratio to demonstrate the increased dispersion: the 4.5 ppm shown are 3600 Hz at 800 and 2700 Hz at 600 MHz, hence a 33% wider spectrum at 800. Click on the picture for expansions and a GCOSY comparison.
